Event Details

Learn to knit and purl (the two stitches that are the beginning of all knitting), as well as how to cast on (begin) and bind off (end) a project. During the day-long class, you will create one, or two, or three washcloths, and will be going home with written instructions for how to make them. Cotton yarn and a set of straight needles included in the class fee. There will be an hour for lunch and the Hawthorn Tree will be offering 10% off for all students who would like to eat lunch in-house. Or students are free to have lunch on their own.
Christina Holmgren-Larson was born and raised in a fiber arts family in northern Sweden and has been knitting since she was 5 years old. She has taught knitting to students ages 8 to 80 and enjoys sharing her knowledge and skills. The owner of Runa Fiber Arts, Christina has expanded her love of knitting to also include spinning and dyeing of yarn and fiber, as well as designing and dyeing silk.
