Supporting Downtown Through Recent Grant Projects

Oct 9, 2026

Through its Grant offerings, the Cheyenne Downtown Development Authority supports improvements that contribute to the Downtown District’s buildings, streetscape, and overall character. Three recently completed projects at The Lincoln, The Atlas Theatre, and Wellness Collective highlight the variety of work supported through these Grants.

The Lincoln

The Lincoln Theatre completed improvements to its three marquee signs with support from a Capital Improvement Grant.

The project included new marquee faces, updated LED lighting, and new lettering across all three signs. The updates refresh a recognizable feature of the theater while maintaining the character of the historic building.

The Atlas Theatre

With support from a Façade Improvement Grant, the Atlas Theatre replaced 30 historic window panes damaged during the August 2025 hailstorm.

The replacement work helps restore an important architectural feature of the historic theater while addressing damage from the storm. The project preserves the character of the Atlas Theatre and helps maintain the details that contribute to the character of the Downtown District.

Wellness Collective

Wellness Collective recently installed a new awning at its downtown storefront with support from a Capital Improvement Grant.

The new awning adds a finished, defined element to the storefront while providing a practical feature for the entrance. The improvement contributes to the appearance of the building and its presence along the downtown streetscape.
