About the Pump House Project
Completed in 1892, this historic structure operated as a supplement to Cheyenne’s original pumphouse until the 1920s, after which time it was repurposed as an equipment maintenance and storage facility.
Today, the City of Cheyenne has identified four ways to potentially restore the Pumphouse and identify a use for the restored building, including:
- Preserving the building for future restoration and repurposing
- Restoring the shell of the building
- Restoring the shell and the major interior portions, readying the building for future use
- Fully restoring and repurposing the building in anticipation for a public use or multipurpose facility
