About the Reed Avenue Rail Corridor Project
The goal of the Reed Avenue Rail Corridor project is to convert the Reed Avenue right-of-way in Cheyenne’s West Edge into a public space that provides safe pedestrian and bicycle access, honors and celebrates the history of the corridor, and allows for gatherings, events, and economic development opportunities.
In addition to increasing safety around the corridor, these changes will also:
- Improve walking and biking connections across the West side of Downtown Cheyenne
- Support economic redevelopment and new private investment
- Deliver infrastructure improvements promised in the voter-approved 6th Penny program
